There's plenty of wildlife to view
You may have to be an Early Riser
Bill and Annette, owners of Blue Water
Acres, walk daily for about one hour along roads leading to the resort.
During these walks they've seen deer, moose, fox, bear, mink, martens,
otter, beaver, squirrels, skunks, porcupines, racoons, chipmunks,
wolves, and many different species of birds. Wild animals generally
avoid humans. However, they will cross your path from time to time
while you're driving or walking. Guests who are early risers have
seen them in the morning walking across the beach and open spaces
while most are still asleep. They'll run as soon as they spot you.
However, sometimes you'll be lucky enough to capture them with your
camera.
April to June is the best time to view
moose in Algonquin Park. It's rare not to spot one or more of these
majestic creatures as you drive through the Park during this time
of year.
