Kids go to Bed Exhausted
Once your school has experienced overnight
trips to Blue Water Acres, it will become an annual tradition. It is easy to
develop a learning itinerary mixed with outdoor and indoor activities at Blue
Water Acres. Kids will be asking their teachers to return each year.
The most popular time for school groups has
been winter. Between time spent on curriculum activities, kids have lots of
time to spend swimming, tubing, skating, skiing, and more. Usually, one half
day is devoted to skiing and snowboarding at nearby Hidden Valley
Highlands.
Spring and fall are ideal times of the year to
have them explore their natural habitat in Algonquin Park. It is easy to
arrange for an experienced naturalists to excite the kids about Ontario's
eco-systems.
Overnight school trips to Blue Water Acres are
most suitable for high school students. Normally up to 6 boys or 6 girls share
a cottage. Boys cottages are arranged at one end of the resort and the girls
cottages at the other end. A teacher's cottage is strategically placed amongst
each of the two groups of cottages.
Cost per student and teacher including 3 meals
per day is about $65 per day. Price includes use of meeting rooms and all
recreation facilities.
Some of our school groups have been coming for
many years. Please call us if you would like to contact one of the teachers to
discuss their school trip experience at Blue Water Acres.
